SUMMARY:British Masters 10km Road Championships
DESCRIPTION:This event is for masters’ athletes (anyone aged 35 or over) who have already entered the Chichester 10K at Goodwood\, Motor Circuit\, Chichester PO18 0PH and wish to compete in the British Masters 10k Road Championships as well. Ambulant athletes welcome. \nAll UK residents must have a current UKA registration to enter. Overseas visitors without a UKA registration should enter their national team code. \nThe first step to compete in the BMAF championships is to enter the Chichester 10k itself here\nThe Chichester 10K is fast and pretty flat\, starting and finishing on the Goodwood motor racing circuit.\nAll participants receive a fantastic race medal\, free runner photography\, and finish line goodies\nThe race entry fee is £28 (N.B. this is an “early bird” price which lasts until 7th December) \nThen enter the BMAF championship by the green button given below\, for which the entry fee is as follows: \n\nBMAF area club members Free\nNon-members                 £5\n\nClosing Date for Entries: 30th January or earlier if the race is full\nThe deadline to have your name featured on your bib number is 7th January\n \nFor details of the course see here and for more details of the race refer to the race website here \nStart time: 09-30 am \nIndividual medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each five-year age category from 35 to 100+.\nRunners are also eligible for any awards given by the race organisers. \nTeam entries from UKA clubs are welcome based on their first claim members.  There will be team awards for the first 3 women’s/men’s teams in 10-year age bands of 35-44\, 45-54 and 55+ since these are the age categories where there will be two or more teams competing. Clubs can have multiple teams in each age group based on the first 3 club members in that age group to finish\, the second 3 to finish and so.  All teams are eligble to win medals. Anyone competing in a lower age group for a team still competes in their own age group for the purposes of an individual medal. Clubs do not have to declare their teams unless they wish to down-age a club member from an older age group in order to make up a complete team.  This must be done before entries close but you can find a list of current teams. \nProvisional teams for each age group have been prepared based on the natural teams in each age group (coloured green) and athletes with insufficient numbers in their own age group making up a team by down-ageing to the next lower age group (age group coloured yellow) and if you are already shown as being a member of a team (via green/yellow colour) then you do not need to take any further action. The opportunities for clubs/individual athletes to request modified/additional down-aging are highlighted on the provisional list team lists here by a black border round the person’s age group or round the age group of a group of athletes. Such requests must be submitted in advance\, before entries close. \nNewcomers: you can also register with the BMAF for news of British Masters Athletics events and other items of general interest relating to masters athletics.  You can tailor this to match your athletics interests in your “Athlete Profile”. Overseas visitors without a UKA registration should enter their national team code. \nEntry fees: BMAF Area Club members \nClosing Date: Thursday 20 November or earlier if full. \nEntry Limit: 500 \nChip timing. There will be two races to prevent congestion and to allow more entrants. \nProvisional timetable: \nRace One\, 10:45am. For Men aged 35 to 64 (M35 – M60 age groups\, inclusive) \nRace Two\, 11:30am. SUMMARY:British Masters Marathon Championships 2025
DESCRIPTION:First enter the Abingdon marathon itself via the link here \nGeneral entries to the marathon are now closed.  You can however join the waiting list to get one of the returned places later in the summer.\nYou can therefore create a provisional entry in the BMAF championships\, but do not pay for your entry until you have been allocated your own place in the race. \nIf you already have a place in the marathon but can no longer compete\, you can transfer your place in the marathon to another runner until the transfer window closes\, apporoximately 5 weeks before the race. Once the transfer has been accepted by the Abingdon Marathon organisers\, the runner taking your place must make their own entry in the BMAF championships including payment of the appropriate entry fee.  Once this has been done\, we will refund your entry fee\, less the costs of OpenTrack/Stripe Administration which are non-refundable. \nWe will hold entries to the BMAF championships open until 5th October in order to allow time for transfers/waiting lists to be resolved. \nNote: UKA Registration is mandatory for all championships competitors (except for overseas athletes who are not members of a registered club in the UK). \nCost of entry to the championships: \n\nBMAF Area Club members: £2\nNon-members: £7\n\nNewcomers: you can also register with British Masters Athletics via the BMAF Opentrack home page. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 31st August 2025 \nWe are proud to be part of the EUROPEAN MASTERS ATHLETICS LEAGUE 2025 \nHosted by MOMENTUM SPORTS and sponsored by TF1 \nOpen graded events for all age groups (with ELECTRONIC TIMING). \nPRIZES for all age groups – including cash prizes for the best performances of the day (1st = £100\, 2nd = £60\, 3rd = £40) based on World Athletics ranking points.  T-shirt prizes for best U13\, U15\, U17 and U20 performances. \nFREE PHOTOS to download after the meeting for athletes to use on social media. \n100m\, 200m\, 300m\, 400m\, 800m\, Mile\, 3000m (£11 per event) \nfor all ages from U13s upwards \nFor U9s and U11s we will have \n75m\, 600m (£6 per event (£10 for both) \nMasters only events \nLong Jump\, Javelin \nFor provisional timetable see Start Lists \nCommentary throughout the day \nBOB LEWIS was a great supporter of athletes and athletics at all levels as well as being a great runner himself.  He was European Masters Games Champion over 400m.  He is remembered by many in the sport and we are honoured that his family are happy for his name to be associated with this event in memory of all he did for the sport. \nIn his honour there will be a prize of a lemon drizzle cake (his favourite) for the best age graded 400m performance by a Masters athlete. \nPlease note that entries are online only and no entries will be allowed on the day\, no refunds will be given on entries.  Entries close at 23.59 on the 28th August. The timetable is subject to change based on the number of entries. \nThe meeting will be held under WMA/UKA rules.
