Recreational (below 60%)

Below 60% doesn’t mean you’re not a real athlete — it means you’re participating in masters athletics and building a foundation.

Developing (60–69%)

The 60–69% range represents a solid club athlete who trains regularly and competes locally.

Competitive club (70–79%)

At 70–79%, you’re a serious masters competitor. You’d be competitive at county and regional championships.

National class (80–89%)

An 80%+ age grade puts you in the top tier of active masters athletes in any country. You’d be competitive at national championships.

World class (90%+)

Above 90% is the elite tier — performances approaching world record level for your age. These athletes are typically competing internationally.
