GAINESVILLE — Day one and two of the 2025 WMA Indoor World Championships started with some exceptional performances from Team USATF Masters athletes. The team brought home 28 gold, 39 silver, and 36 bronze medals across the first two days of competition.

Team USATF Masters saw 16 national and four WMA records go down. Flo Meiler bettered six American records and four WMA records. She set records in the W90 60M (14.85), 60H, High Jump (.90), Long Jump (1.79), 800M (6:52.21) and Pentathlon (2531). Of those events, she also set WMA records in the 60H, High Jump, and Pentathlon. Neringa Jakstiene also set an American and WMA record in the W60 long jump with a leap of 4.74m.

Other American records set were Donna Lawrence W50 60M (8.34), Sabra Harvey W75 800m (3:11.37), Ron Humphrey M65 Pentathlon (4023), Marsha Baird W50 Pentathlon (4156), Rita Hanscom W70 Pentathlon (3876). In an exciting show of competition, masters athletes had the second U.S. finisher in three events also better the existing American records in their events. Second-place finishers who exceeded records were Pamela McCartney W50 Pentathlon (3861), Jeannie Rice W75 800M (3:15.79) and Christel Donley W90 60M (15.56).
