This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) explains the standards of behaviour expected from all users of TheMasterAthlete (“Platform”).
It applies to all visitors, athletes, coaches, clubs, organisations, event organisers, partners and any other users of our website, mobile applications, APIs and related services.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy, our Terms & Conditions and all other applicable policies.
TheMasterAthlete exists to support athletes throughout their sporting journey.
We expect every user to contribute to a community that is:
respectful;
inclusive;
supportive;
honest;
fair;
safe;
lawful.
Users are expected to treat others with courtesy and integrity at all times.
You must use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
You must not use the Platform to:
commit or encourage unlawful acts;
commit fraud or deception;
impersonate another individual or organisation;
violate the rights of another person;
breach applicable laws or regulations.
Users must not:
bully or harass others;
threaten or intimidate others;
discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics;
post hateful or abusive content;
publish defamatory material;
deliberately provoke conflict within the community.
Constructive disagreement is acceptable.
Personal attacks are not.
You must not publish or promote content that:
encourages dangerous training practices;
promotes self-harm;
encourages unsafe exercise;
promotes illegal drug use;
promotes prohibited performance-enhancing substances;
deliberately misleads athletes regarding health or safety.
Where medical advice is required, users should consult appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.
Coaches using the Platform must:
communicate professionally;
respect athlete confidentiality;
maintain appropriate professional boundaries;
act within the limits of their competence;
avoid misleading claims regarding qualifications or results.
Coaches must never guarantee performance improvements or competition success.
Content uploaded to the Platform must not include:
unlawful material;
pornography;
graphic violence;
hate speech;
threats;
defamatory statements;
copyrighted material without permission;
confidential information belonging to another person;
malicious software or executable code.
Users remain responsible for everything they publish.
Unless expressly authorised by TheMasterAthlete, users must not:
send spam;
send unsolicited advertising;
operate pyramid schemes;
promote scams;
repeatedly post identical content;
misuse messaging features for commercial solicitation.
Approved commercial partners may be subject to separate agreements.
You must not:
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform;
interfere with Platform security;
introduce malware or viruses;
probe or test system vulnerabilities without permission;
interfere with other users’ accounts;
attempt to bypass security controls.
Any suspected security vulnerability should be reported responsibly to TheMasterAthlete.
Unless expressly authorised in writing, users must not:
scrape the Platform;
harvest athlete information;
collect email addresses;
use bots to create accounts;
use automated systems to extract data;
overload Platform infrastructure;
reverse engineer Platform functionality.
Reasonable search engine indexing is permitted where authorised.
Approved API access will be governed by separate API Terms where applicable.
Users must not misuse AI features by:
attempting to generate unlawful content;
attempting to bypass Platform safeguards;
submitting prompts designed to compromise system security;
generating misleading coaching advice for publication as professional guidance without appropriate review;
using AI to impersonate another individual.
AI-generated outputs should always be reviewed before being relied upon.
Users must respect the privacy of others.
You must not:
publish another person’s personal information without permission;
misuse athlete data;
share confidential coaching information without authority;
collect personal information for unauthorised purposes.
Use of personal information must comply with applicable data protection laws.
Users must respect intellectual property rights.
You must not:
upload copyrighted material without permission;
reproduce Platform content without authorisation;
copy training programmes for commercial resale where prohibited;
misuse TheMasterAthlete trademarks or branding.
Users should promote fair competition.
You must not:
encourage cheating;
manipulate competition results;
knowingly submit false performance data;
promote prohibited substances;
engage in conduct likely to undermine the integrity of sport.
Users are encouraged to report:
abusive behaviour;
safeguarding concerns;
fake accounts;
security vulnerabilities;
copyright infringement;
fraudulent activity.
Reports will be reviewed as promptly as reasonably practicable.
Where we reasonably believe this Policy has been breached, we may:
remove content;
issue warnings;
temporarily restrict Platform features;
suspend accounts;
permanently terminate accounts;
remove coach verification;
remove organisation access;
report unlawful activity to relevant authorities where appropriate.
The action taken will depend on the seriousness and frequency of the breach.
Where an account has been suspended or restricted, users may contact TheMasterAthlete to request a review.
We may request additional information before making a final decision.
Our decision following review will be final unless otherwise required by law.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, technology or applicable law.
The latest version will always be published on TheMasterAthlete website.
Continued use of the Platform after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
