  • Professional Indemnity Insurance;

  • Public Liability Insurance;

  • Professional Liability Insurance;

  • other insurance required by applicable law.

TheMasterAthlete may request evidence of insurance before permitting certain coaching activities.

Maintaining insurance remains the responsibility of the coach.

7. AI-Assisted Coaching

Coaches may use AI tools provided by the Platform.

AI-generated recommendations:

  • are advisory only;

  • do not replace professional judgement;

  • should always be reviewed before being shared with athletes.

The coach remains fully responsible for all advice provided to athletes, whether generated manually or assisted by AI.

8. Athlete Data

Coaches may access athlete information only where the athlete has granted permission through the Platform.

Coaches agree to:

  • use athlete information only for legitimate coaching purposes;

  • keep information confidential;

  • comply with applicable data protection legislation;

  • stop accessing athlete information when authorisation ends.

Coaches must not copy, sell or distribute athlete data without appropriate legal authority.

9. Coach Content

Coaches retain ownership of original training programmes, articles, videos and educational materials they create.

By uploading content to the Platform, coaches grant TheMasterAthlete a non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Platform.

Coaches confirm that they own, or have permission to use, all content they upload.

10. Payments

Where coaching services are offered through the Platform:

  • coaches remain responsible for complying with tax obligations;

  • coaches are responsible for accurately describing their services;

  • TheMasterAthlete may charge platform fees or commissions where applicable.

Additional Marketplace Terms may apply if direct payments between athletes and coaches are introduced.

  • attempt to recruit users using deceptive practices.

Serious breaches may result in immediate removal from the Platform.

12. Suspension and Removal

TheMasterAthlete may suspend or terminate coach accounts where we reasonably believe:

  • these Coach Terms have been breached;

  • safeguarding concerns exist;

  • fraudulent behaviour has occurred;

  • qualifications have been misrepresented;

  • users are placed at unreasonable risk;

  • the integrity or reputation of the Platform may be harmed.

Where appropriate, coaches may be given an opportunity to respond before a final decision is made.

  • qualifications;

  • specialisms;

  • languages spoken;

  • athlete testimonials;

  • coaching history;

17. Ratings and Reviews

Athletes may be able to rate or review coaching services.

Reviews should be:

  • honest;

  • fair;

  • based upon genuine experience;

  • respectful.

TheMasterAthlete reserves the right to remove reviews that are:

  • defamatory;

  • misleading;

  • fraudulent;

We encourage coaches to maintain their knowledge through continuing education.

TheMasterAthlete may provide:

  • educational resources;

  • webinars;

  • certification programmes;

  • research summaries;

  • coaching best practice guidance.

Participation in these activities does not create an employment relationship between the coach and TheMasterAthlete.

19. Governing Body Compliance

Where a coach is affiliated with a governing body, club or federation, they remain responsible for complying with:

  • codes of conduct;

  • disciplinary rules;

  • safeguarding policies;

  • anti-doping regulations;

  • licensing requirements;

  • insurance requirements.

Nothing within the Platform removes those obligations.

20. Independent Contractor Status

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, coaches operate as independent professionals.

Nothing in these Terms creates:

  • an employment relationship;

  • a partnership;

  • a joint venture;

  • an agency relationship

between TheMasterAthlete and any coach.

Coaches remain responsible for their own:

  • taxes;

  • insurance;

  • business registrations;

  • professional obligations.

21. Intellectual Property

Coaches retain ownership of the original coaching materials they create.

However, coaches must not:

  • copy proprietary AI outputs for resale as standalone products where prohibited by our Terms;

  • reproduce Platform software;

  • reverse engineer Platform features;

  • use TheMasterAthlete branding without written permission.

TheMasterAthlete retains ownership of all Platform software, AI systems, branding, databases and proprietary technology.
