Congratulations to Sunette Lessing and Monica Pomietlarz for being selected as AOTM for December because of their outstanding high jump performances that set Canadian records.

Sunette Lessing57, cleared the bar at 1.47m on December 14 at the Kamloops Christmas Challenge in Kamloops, BC. This jump was only 1.0 cm lower than the best W55 indoor performance and ranked her third in the world in 2024. Sunette lives in Kamloops and is self-coached.
Monica Pomietlarz66, high jumped 1.37m at the same meet. This jump was the highest W65 indoor high jump in the world in 2024! Monica lives in Kelowna, B.C. and is coached by Pat Sima-Ledding.
Honorable Mention
Paul Gautier60, was selected for Honorable Mention for December, 2024. On December 12th, he extended his M60 Shot Put Canadian record to 14.19m at the Dernière Chance Meet in Saint John, NB. This throw placed him 4th in world rankings out of over 200 M60 throwers indoors in 2024. Paul lives in Rothsay, NB and is self-coached.
