We built The Master Athlete because masters athletes deserve coaching infrastructure designed for them, not adapted for them. The Founder Programme is how we’re bringing the first group of athletes and coaches into that platform — and it’s worth being clear about what it actually is, because “early access” gets used loosely enough elsewhere that it’s earned some skepticism.
Here’s exactly what joining as a Founder means.
Why a Founder Programme, and not just a launch
Most products get built in a room, then handed to users once “finished.” We didn’t want to do that — not for a platform whose whole premise is that masters athletes have been given generic tools for too long. The people who understand what’s missing better than anyone are the athletes and coaches living it right now.
The Founder Programme is a genuine early cohort: a smaller group of masters athletes getting access ahead of public launch, using the platform while it’s still being shaped, and having real input into what gets built next. It’s not a beta in the sense of “expect it to be broken.” It’s a beta in the sense of “your priorities help set the roadmap.”
What you get as a Founder
Early access to the full platform. Coach dashboard and athlete-side tools, training plans, the AI session builder, progress tracking, and the properly-built age grading and benchmarking system — not a stripped-down preview.
Founder pricing, locked in. Early access comes with pricing that won’t apply once the platform is publicly available at full price. This is a genuine thank-you for being early, not a teaser rate that reverts after a month.
A Founder profile and recognition. Founders are marked as such inside the platform — a visible signal that you were part of building this from the start, not just an early customer.
Direct input on the roadmap. Feedback from the Founder cohort has already shaped real decisions — from how benchmarking is structured to what the onboarding flow looks like. Joining now means the next round of decisions gets shaped by you too.
A closer relationship with the team. At this stage, feedback doesn’t go into a support queue — it goes directly into what gets built next.
Who this is for
The Founder Programme suits two overlapping groups:
Masters athletes who’ve felt the gap this platform exists to close — training against generic benchmarks, working with recovery advice that doesn’t fit, or simply wanting proper progression tracking built around their actual age band rather than a rough estimate.
Club and specialist coaches working with masters athletes who want tools built for that population specifically — proper training plan structuring, injury monitoring, and progress tracking that doesn’t require constant manual adjustment for age.
If either of those describes you, this is built for you specifically, not adapted for you as an afterthought.
What we’re asking in return
Founders aren’t just customers — they’re collaborators for this stage of the platform. That means occasional feedback requests, early exposure to features that are still being refined, and a level of involvement that a standard subscriber wouldn’t sign up for. In exchange, you get a genuine say in what The Master Athlete becomes, and pricing that reflects being part of that from the beginning.
How to join
Founder Programme spots are limited by design — this is meant to be a real working group, not a mailing list. If you want in, the application takes a few minutes, and you’ll hear back directly rather than disappearing into an automated queue.
If you’ve read the rest of what we’ve written about why masters coaching needs to change, this is the practical next step: not just reading about the gap, but helping close it.
