The long-awaited day finally arrived! Day 2 of EMORRC brought the most thrilling and demanding challenge for both athletes and organizers: the vertical run to the heights near the summit of Europe’s highest and most active volcano.
The effort was immense — but the reward? Even greater.
A crystal-clear day offered views stretching to the sea, surreal lunar landscapes, and the awe-inspiring presence of the volcano itself. It was an experience that eclipsed any logistical hiccups, leaving participants with unforgettable emotions.
